Hp laptop camera not working on zoom -
Recently a problem has arisen where my camera does not work properly on zoom, but if I go to the camera app it works fine. When I'm on zoom my camera is black and white, and sometimes it gets so dark that you cant even see me. This has happened before, and it went away for a while, but now just a few days ago it came back. I think a camera driver update MAY have caused this, as I noticed this first around the time when I had a handful of driver updates.
Does zoom just need to update to this new driver update, or is it a glitch, and if so how can I fix it? Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Even I am facing similar issue. Camera working independently and with google meet app. But with zoom app it is showing a black background. I tried the steps you have mentioned still not working.

I have another Chinese cam ot it from my company as corporate gift and the picture quality is superb. This trash is so bad that it just looks like a vga camera of a feature phone. I just wasted my hard earned money. Can return it either. Purchased this product based on the reviews provided. But its not even close to what I expected. Picture is grainy and mic has no noise-cancellation.
Picture is almost same as p or rather p. Super grainy and dark. I already set it to p resolution but there was no improvement. I ordered a replacement thinking this might be a fault of the specific one I received, but the replacement performance was same.
The Lenovo FHD camera specially on p resolution was just super and there was no problem with mic as well. Good quality camera, yes, it's auto focus and this is an advantage, value for money.
My son's teacher is now happy in online class. This is much better than my laptop's camera. Worst experience. Saw the Box and knew instantly that this product was returned previously. We buy stuff on Amzon because we expect to buy quality products and you suggest stuff with less amount that you want to clear from your stock by calling that discount.
This is too much, it has been happening consistently and the products always come in packaging which makes it so obvious that you are sending refurbished stuff our way. The retailers or vendors doing this are just making it worse for themselves by sending these products. And moreover initating a return has been made so difficult instead you are easily given the option to replace. Why should I risk buying it again when I have had a bad experience.

Hp disappointed me with webcam, pixaled not even clise to HD video. Its similar to 2 MP camera quality. It is pathetic in low light conditions 2. Not able to use the virtual backgrounds on zoom with this camera. It was working fine on my 6 year old logitech webcam till it died a few weeks ago. It does not have any indicator to show when it is on. It is bulky and takes up a lot of space when placed on top of the monitor.
